LOADS OF TRACK TIME!!!

Instructors are available for both Time Attack and Drift.

* Camping at the track the night before, so you won't need a hotel. Party as usual. Gates close at 10PM, please show up before then. Camping will be in the pit area of HTM.

* If you want to do both Grip and Drift, we will let you drive in any of the drift and grip groups, at any time for 195$; which is basically paying 130$ for one run group, and half price (65$) for the other group. I mean, with this if you really wanted to, you could just drive all day if your car permits.

* Please don't forget: Roll bars are required on HTM for any convertible. If you pay the fee and you show up without a roll bar, you will not be allowed to run and no refunds will be given.

* For obvious reasons, compound type and tread-wear will be different for grip drivers. R-compounds and lower tread-wear for grip drivers are allowed.

* If you are a beginner and this is your first event, don't worry. We are going to have a separate beginner/novice run-group just as we always do for drivers to get accustomed to their cars. We will also have instructors on hand to hop in your car to give you pointers and answer any questions that you may have.

Gran Turismo 5 Release Date Delayed... Again

The sole reason why I bought a PS3 console is for this game. I think it is more than 3 years now since I bought my PS3 and until now I have been waiting for the best racing simulation game ever.

Once I heard the news that it will be finally released this November, I went online and pre-ordered the game. Until today, I learned that the much awaited game will be delayed again for the nth time... Creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience.*

I guess perfection isn't attainable. GT5 better be the best game I will ever play!

Who is Stig???

"LONDON – The opaque visor of one of Britain's most famous helmets has been lifted.

The identity of The Stig, the always-anonymous test driver on the popular television show "Top Gear," has long been a closely guarded secret. On Wednesday, lawyers said the BBC had been refused an injunction blocking publication of a book revealing the identity of the character.

Shortly after, publishers HarperCollins said in a statement that a 33-year-old racing driver named Ben Collins "has a great story to tell about his seven years as The Stig, which will appeal to a wide audience beyond just motoring enthusiasts."

Calling it a "victory for freedom of speech," HarperCollins said the book will be published in Britain on Sept. 16.

Nisei Week 2010

R.A.D. Experience went to Little Tokyo in Downtown Los Angeles on August 14, 2010 to spectate Nisei Week. According to Wikiepedia, Nisei Week (二世週祭 Nisei-shū Matsuri?) is an annual festival celebrating Japanese American (JA) culture and history in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. Nisei means 2nd generation in Japanese, describing the first American born Japanese, a group which the seven day festival was originally meant to attract. Though named for the Nisei generation, Nisei Week is no longer targeted at Niseis, nor is the festival still contained within a week. Nisei Week Foundation president for 2006, Michelle Suzuki, described the festival as "the opportunity for people of all backgrounds to celebrate Japanese heritage and culture"

Japanese festival would not be complete if there is no ground to show off totally pimped out cars. Varying from restoring vintage cars to customizing compact cars.

Like these vintage Corollas and Honda Civics.

Look at this crazy camber!

We also spotted our friends from Motormavens and DSTROYR.

And our friends in Infinit Wheels were also there to showcase their rides.

They even have a Hybrid Integra: Gasoline and hydrogen powered engine.

We spotted Maureen Chen representing itsjdmyo.com and  got the opportunity to take a few shots.

Daijiro Yoshihara was also there representing Discount Tires.

Back to more wheels.

Check out these Ruckus...

And this fully restored Honda Civic, I'm not sure what year specifically... somebody hit me up!

And this S2k.

Cars with Japanese decals.

And I can not resist posting this pink porta potty.   :)

After the car show, we went around Little Tokyo again to check out the music, food and the merchandise.

We found this booth RAD is RAD! (with Ryan of R.A.D. Experience posing. lol!)

And this Filipino dude wearing a Free Lumpia.

And Nisei Kitty going around with her Japanese outfit.

And anime ladies with my brother Ryan and myself.

Gymkhana Grid with Ken Block

Gymkhana Grid with Ken Block was held August 7 and 8, 2010 at Hollywood Park. R.A.D. Experience is fortunate to be invited and came with the Infinit Wheels crew to have some Gymkhana action.

The event had a pretty good turn out having different car makes and models. To name a few, there were Miata's, Lotus',  BMW's, Subarus, Evo's, 240's, Corolla's and even some Honda's and muscle cars too to step on their gas and yank up their e-brakes.

There were professional drivers too that showed up and did some Gymkhana action - Joon Maeng, Alex Pfeiffer driving his 4AGE-powered Locust, and Mike Essa in his V10 BMW with the new silver livery.

During lunch break, Ken Block decided to check out and get the Monster Ford Fiesta out to the track and give the fans and spectators some Gymkhana smoke!

After his run, he went around the pit to greet the fans and he even signed on the hood of one of our drivers.
